“C2B has been instrumental in defining and documenting our capabilities and value as a provider of Machine Language Data preparation services. They have lighted a path, making it easy for our best prospects to navigate a crowded and noisy market to find us.”

For 20 years, social enterprise Digital Divide Data (DDD) has brought tech skills and living-wage work to men and women in underserved communities in the US and around the world, connecting those individuals with global brands in need of a range of data services.

Business Challenge
The explosion in the adoption of machine learning has been accompanied by enormous demand for training data, specially labeled and annotated data that teaches machine learning systems by example. DDD has the workforce and the internal business practices required for machine learning data preparation on a large scale, and the proportion of their businesses dedicated to ML projects has steadily grown. However, DDD’s marketing - including its website - has always emphasized the social impact side of the business over its technical capabilities. DDD found itself needing to tell a separate, differentiated story to a market looking for ML data preparation services.

The Solution
The leadership team decided to get an outside perspective on how best to insert themselves into a hot, crowded market. DDD turned to C2B Suite because of our ability to deliver strategy and execution, and because we are well-versed in the nuances and complexity of ML system development.

Our assignment was twofold:

#1: Help DDD, a late entrant to the market, differentiate its ML data preparation services.

#2: Encapsulate that differentiated story in a website, separate from the corporate site, dedicated to DDD’s training data capabilities and offerings.
